September 20 2006: For Immediate Release: SPINERAZOR RECORDS ARTISTS THE SHIFTERS CELEBRATE RELEASE OF DEBUT ALBUM “MUSIC FOR SINNERS” WITH KILLER HOMETOWN CD RELEASE SHOW IN MONTREAL; ONE-NIGHT EXTRAVAGANZA TO INCLUDE SPECIAL PERFORMANCES FROM NOTORIOUS ROCK ACTS KILL CHEERLEADER AND CJ SLEEZE! Toronto, ON – Canadian independent record label Spinerazor Records is pleased to announce a CD release show for the label’s latest signing; Montreal’s THE SHIFTERS. Already known as an explosive live act, THE SHIFTERS have quickly become THE rock n’ roll buzz band in Montreal’s underground rock scene. And now with the Sept. 26 release of their debut album 'MUSIC FOR SINNERS', it won’t be long before the rest of the world discovers the band’s high energy, hard livin’, low-brow rock n’ roll! CD RELEASE SHOW INFO: Friday Sept. 29th - Montreal @ L’Hemisphere Gauche (221 rue Beaubien Est) FEAT.: The Shifters, Kill Cheerleader, CJ Sleez Joining THE SHIFTERS for this show are 2 of Canada’s most notorious rock acts (and Spinerazor Records labelmates) KILL CHEERLEADER and CJ SLEEZ, making for a night that is sure to be loud, brash, violent and exciting both on AND off the stage! It may also be the most real rock n’ roll action that Canada has seen in many, many years! DON’T MISS THIS SHOW! ABOUT THE SPINERAZOR RECORDS BANDS: THE SHIFTERS: The most hi octane rock n’ roll band to ever come out of Montreal! A hot rod mix of back alley politics, hard livin’ and greaser, gearhead anthems, The Shifters are the perfect soundtrack to a fast livin’, amps on 11, cheap booze and vintage cars lifestyle. If you can even remotely relate to any of this, then The Shifters will be your new favorite band. And their new album 'Music For Sinners' will be the soundtrack to your life spinning wildly out of control as you get lost along the rock n’ roll loser’s highway. Music For Sinners: In Stores Sept.26 www.theshifters.com www.myspace.com/theshifters KILL CHEERLEADER: “THE BEST ROCK ‘N” ROLL BAND SINCE GUNS AND ROSES”– LEMMY KILMISTER, MOTORHEAD "POISED TO TAKE OVER AMERICA” –ALTERNATIVE PRESS ”I WAS PRETTY MUCH BLOWN AWAY” -- SPIN Your sister's not a virgin anymore. She hangs out with the boys in Kill Cheerleader. Childhood friends with a fetish for early Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue, Kill Cheerleader learned their instruments together while practicing songs from old Stooges records. Soon they began writing original songs with the intent of tearing shit apart and creating raw and powerful anthems like their musical heroes before them. They started off playing shows in Toronto but were banned from clubs for their off stage antics. They moved to L.A. and gained a following for their destructive and fresh take on dirty punk-metal. 7000 demo CDs were sold off the stage and soon a German record label licensed one of their unmixed/unmastered recordings and released it as "Gutter Days". All Hail: In Stores Now www.killcheerleader.com www.myspace.com/killcheerleader CJ SLEEZ: Move over Courtney Love and Bif Naked because there’s a new rock and roll diva in town and her name is CJ Sleez. Think Courtney Love, Traci Lords, and Janis Joplin, but with the fire Guns N' Roses and the charisma of Iggy Pop. Emerging from the desolate and seedy city streets of Hamilton, Ontario, CJ SLEEZ is an infamous and outrageous young blonde with a raw, fiery and unapologetic approach to music. Exuberant eroticism combined with a shameless dedication to power chords, CJ Sleez brings sleezy rock'n'roll to a new level of decadence. This trash vixen, clad in tight leather, high heels and covered in tattoos attacks the stage with stunning defiance. While “living by example” and “kicking out the jams” are mere catch phrases for most rock wannabe's, CJ SLEEZ literally lives and breathes rock ‘n’ roll 24-7. With the release of Back from the Brink (Spinerazor Records), CJ SLEEZ has documented her live-fast lifestyle and condensed it into one explosive new six-song EP. July 18 2006: Just wanted to let you all know that the current Mastery/Carolina Hurricanes release is going to be used for another spot in Decibel Magazine’s next issue. Decibel are “transmorgifying the mastery/hurricanes thing into a news piece comprised of that bit of info, a mention of kevan's surgery and a thing about the greatest hockey injuries ever.” This will make for another great piece of Mastery press.

July 18 2006: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS CAROLINA HURRICANES USE MASTERY’S “LETHAL LEGACY” DURING GAMES When the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes skated their way to this year’s Stanley Cup victory they did it to the tune of Toronto’s instrumental thrash band Mastery. The Hurricanes had been using choice cuts from Mastery’s recently released “Lethal Legacy” album throughout the season and playoffs to get the players and fans pumped up. “We’re so excited to see our music used at the Hurricanes games. It’s an amazing feeling to hear your music being blaring out of the arena speakers to get 20,000 fans excited,” says Mastery guitarist Hockey is a big part of our Canadian roots and we’re honored to have our music used to celebrate the game and the Hurricanes Stanley Cup victory.” The Carolina Hurricanes also used clips Mastery’s music for their video montages celebrating the Hurricanes 2006 Olympic Games athletes like Erik Staal and goaltender Martin Gerber. The “Olympic Sendoff Day” video clips can be viewed at the following location: http://www.carolinahurricanes.com/custom/radD7419.asp Don Sill, Music Director for the Carolina Hurricanes, had this to say about his decision to use the band’s music. "Mastery's sound is the perfect soundtrack for the sport of hockey. It's intensely driven, fast and most of all- hard! We've used Mastery to psyche-up the crowd as well as the team during crucial moments of the game and it's impact never fails- crowds get revved up and the action on the ice seems to increase. I think it's their trashing guitars, they seem to encourage adrenaline to flow lightning fast through the veins adding more substance to an already exciting sport." Mastery’s new album “Lethal Legacy” arrived in stores this week on Spinerazor/Corporate Punishment Records. The album has been receiving major buzz within the metal community with praise from Brave Words and Metal Maniacs who said, “While ‘Lethal Legacy’ pays homage to the classic thrash of the late ‘80s/early ‘90s with nods to Testament, Forbidden, Vio-lence and Metallica, it doesn’t sound as if the band are pinning for the glory days.” Decibel Magazine has also been singing the praises of Mastery brand of “instrumental”, as they gave the band a whopping 9/10 and called them, “Mastery of Puppets”. The band posted tracks from their recently debut album at: http://www.myspace.com/masterymetal

April 25th 2006: AMAZON REVIEW: Finest new rock and roll band in a long time, April 18, 2006 The material on this CD is killer. Real rock and roll. I'm not talking Default hat wearing baggie pant corporate rock - I mean real rock like Motley Crue used to be, Guns'n'Roses, motorhead the ramones .. that kinda rock. Its dirty, its nasty, its hooky and well played. The band members know themselves and play it right. My only complaint is the production is pretty bad. This album is so obviously made up of various demo recordings. The band should have re-recorded the songs for a full length release. There are rough spots that like misplaced bridges, ending that should have been edited and bad tone. I'd love to hear these tunes recorded properly. I'd also like to see Kill Cheerleader make it big as the world needs a real rock band. Unfortunatly this production probably will not bring them out. I'd still recommend All Hail as the material is very good. Songs 1 and 2 are the same song slightly different and this is confusing especially since they open the album back to back. What a good producer like Mike Clink could do with this band ... I smell Shout at the Devil type classic if that happens.

April 11th 2006: MASTERY REVIEW: Mastery,"Lethal Legacy" They call their music “instrumetal”, and despite the cheesy moniker, this Toronto quartet delivers a potent blend of old school thrash with a keen sense for soloing. On the six-track LETHAL LEGACY, Mastery’x pristine precision and adept dexterity shines brightest, as the twin guitar assault rivals early Megadeth, AJFA-Metallica, and Skolnick-era Testament in pure guitar shredding. No slouches are the rhythm section either, as the bass wallops and the drums, which are so prominent in this mix, instantaneously lunge out at you from the get-go. No singer? No problem because these cats can play, although some vocals next time around would help to seal the deal and make Mastery’s stock ascend to the levels of the ‘80s titans of thrash. But until then, bang your head sans the growls and shrills. www.spinerazor.com Rating: 5/5!

Sinkin’ Ships Chart Attack Story is now online at this location: http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2005/10/0515.cfm We also got this killer review: The Sinkin' Ships call Toronto Canada home, and as I do as well, I guess that makes us almost neighbours. Anyway, It's always satisfying to hear a quality band emerge from the local scene, so as I put "All Signs Are Wrong" into the CD player, I had my fingers crossed, hoping it would kick-ass, and that I wouldn't have to badmouth my fellow Torontonians. Well, as it turned out, my worries were for not, as this does indeed kick large amounts of posterior. Most people (including their press release) refer to the band as being "hardcore", but seeing as how that is now the most over-used adjective in the world of hard music, it's almost utterly meaningless. To tell you the truth, their sound seems to pull from all over the place, influences range in time from the 70s to now. You can hear traces of Social Distortion, very early Hellacopters and Gluecifer, Tiger Army, L7 (when they were good), Tsunami Bomb, and even the legendary Sex Pistols! Speaking of L7, at times vocalist Naomi Allan, (yup, a chick on the mic, got a problem with that?) sounds very similar to Donita Sparks. I say at times because Naomi uses many different vocal styles throughout the disc, how she sounds one second, will be totally different compared to how she sounds the next. The various vocal textures really add to the overall variety found on the disc, and helps to make their second full-length an underground gem. Great raucous raunchy fun! Highly recommended. For More info, check out http://www.sinkinships.com RATING = 8 Punk (Released 2005)

TORONTO BASED SINKIN’ SHIPS SCHEDULE CD RELEASE PARTY FOR “THE SIGNS ARE WRONG” SEPTEMBER 17th 2005 AT SNEAKY DEE’S

Toronto’s latest (and undoubtedly most rippin’) punk rock outfit The Sinkin’ Ships release their 3rd full length CD “The Signs Are Wrong” on Wounded Paw /Spinerazor Records on Sept. 17th @ Sneaky Dee’s w/ The Threat.

The Sinkin’ Ships are: singer Naomi Allan, (2 Pump Louie/Iron Belles), drummer Jeff Robertson, rhythm guitar Mark Harpur (Blastcaps) guitarist Jimmy Cactus Vella(2 Pump Louie), and bassist Mike Hawco. Listening to The Sinkin’ Ships is like being mauled by Johnny Cash, Social Distortion, The Exploited, Tiger Army, and Tsunami Bomb all at once. As horrific as that may sound, it works out to extraordinary results. Cactus though, is typically humble. Well, I don’t know if we’re drastically altering the face of modern music, but we’re surely working to put our own spin on it.

The band has been playing shows in Toronto since 2003, sharing the stage with bands Nomensno, Maximum RNR, The Sinisters, and Damn 13 to name a few. They have showcased at 2005’s NXNE, and played Anti Warped Tour 2004, Boozapalooza (Napanee 2004), plus toured East to Halifax.

“The Signs Are Wrong” was recorded and mixed by Rob San
zo at Signal to Noise Studios over the Summer of 2005, and mastered by Ryan Mills (Most Serene Republic soundman) at Noao Carvallo.

Some past kind words:

“Naomi Allan croons confidently and liltingly, even as the hardcore cacophony underneath her builds to a thunder.”- Punk Planet
“Passionate, (and undeniable sexy) crooning/wailing of a female singer, coupled with a backing band that blends the imposing power of Johnny Cash’s aura and songwriting ability with the brash attitude and uncompromised musical nature of Tiger Army being reamed out by the Sex Pistols. Its not hard to see how this band’s street credibility is matched only by their readiness to explode over both the psychobilly and punk rock worlds.” - Full Contact Magazine

In fact, I wanted to sign Kill Cheerleader to our label a long time ago; they just beat me to it,” he says with a chuckle.

Corporate Punishment was founded in 2004 by Loudside/Total Assault co-founders Eric Nielsen and Thom Hazaert, a domineering Marketing and A&R team with strong ties to many of the past decade’s Hard Rock success stories including: Chimaira, Adema, Limp Bizkit, Nonpoint, Crazy Town, Cold, Staind, The Used, Glassjaw, Breaking Benjamin, Story of the Year, and more.

Originally formed as an outlet to release Inside, the debut solo release from God Lives Underwater vocalist David Reilly, the Corporate Punishment roster was soon expanded to include other developing artists including Trigger Point, Rikets, Shenoah, Allele featuring Kelly Hayes of Cold and KCUF – a project featuring members of Slipknot, System of A Down and Korn.

The debut releases from the joint partnership between Spinerazor Records and Corporate Punishment will see release in early 2006 with the debut release from Kill Cheerleader.

Monday, August 15, 2005:
Spinerazor Records is proud to announce KILL CHEERLEADER has signed on to release their upcoming full length debut LP "All Hail" on the Spinerazor label.

Spinerazor Is Canada's Premier Full Service Heavy Indie Music Label. Spinerazor is involved in various local scenes and is rapidly expanding its presence across Canada, Europe and the US.

Spinerazor Records will be releasing the debut LP October 2005.

Your sister's not a virgin anymore. She hangs out with the boys in KILL CHEERLEADER. Childhood friends with a fetish for early Guns N'Roses and Motley Crue, they learned their instruments together while practicing old songs by the Stooges. One reviewer called it "the greatest punk n'roll recording ever made.. completely redefined excellence in that genre..I am shaken.." (House of Smut)... a guitarist from a rival band called them "The Sound of Desperation" (Killer Ky)... Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue called them the "best new band" in his online journal.... SPIN Magazine & Alternative Press both called them a "band to watch." Even Lemmy from Motorhead invited them to open their U.K. tour and talked about them on Suicide Girls and in Playboy.

Future Plans:
Death From Above 1979's Jessie Keeler will be producing the U.K. debut Kill Cheerleader EP.

Wednesday, July 6, 2005: We are proud to announce that Toronto-based rock band, CJ SLEEZ has joined the Spinerazor Records family!

CJ Sleez will be releasing their debut Spinerazor six song CD EP "Back from the brink" August 2005.
CJ SLEEZ is a hidden treasure of sorts ready to be exposed beyond their Toronto stomping grounds. The band has been pounding their way through the Toronto music scene ranks for almost a decade.

CJ, along with Stacey Straye on guitars, Robbie Risk on bass and Chrispy Soundcock on drums, recently finished in the studio with Blinker The Star’s Jordon Zadorozny (who also did some co–songwriting with one Courtney Love) to lay the foundations for the new EP.

Check out some CJ Sleez tracks, pics and video on their Spinerazor message board!
